WHAT DO WE DO?

Synergy Prep is a private-tutoring company, established in 2014, Synergy provides a variety of tutoring services for students from grades 1 to 12. Our primary focus is to help students prepare for standardized exams. This includes:

OUR TEAM

The Synergy Prep team consists of young professionals that have achieved academic excellence. Our instructors are chosen carefully using a rigorous interview process which allows us to observe their teaching and behavioral skills. Even after the interview process is over, instructors are observed for 2-3 weeks afterwards to make sure they are fully integrated into our team. As tutors are the most influential people in our organization, we want to ensure that students have the best options available.

Abusaleh Asaduzzaman

Abusaleh is currently enrolled in the Grove School of Engineering at The City College of New York, CUNY. In the future, he hopes to study electrical engineering and some of his hobbies include playing a variety of sports and spending time with his family. Abusaleh is a Brooklyn Technical High School graduate. He currently leads the Common Core program at Synergy Prep.

Jin Hee Yoo

Jin Hee is a graduate of Stuyvesant High School and is well-known for her excellent academic standing. She is attending Hunter College CUNY with a Yalow scholarship. She received a score of 2300 on her SAT and is currently our lead SAT instructor and curriculum specialist. During her free time, Jin Hee enjoys cooking, trying out new cuisines and photography.

Thaif Laskar

Thaif is a graduate of Bronx High School of Science and is pursuing a degree in biochemistry at Hunter College CUNY. Thaif wants to follow the Pre-medicine track, gain admission to a top Medical School, and become a pediatrician. As an instructor, Thaif genuinely loves helping people, and hopes to continue doing so at Synergy Prep and throughout the rest of his life. Aside from teaching, Thaif enjoys playing basketball with his friends and reading up on player stats.

Sanjida Tanim

Sanjida is a graduate of Stuyvesant High school, and is an aspiring law school student that looks to double major in political science and psychology. In the future, she hopes to attend law school and become a criminal defense attorney. During her free time, Sanjida enjoys writing short stories and dabbling in filmography.

Zaheen Hossain

Zaheen Hossain is a graduate of Bronx Science High School and is currently a sophomore at Hunter College pursuing a Bachelors degree in Biology under a Pre-medicine track. In the future, he hopes to gain acceptance to a top medical school and become a doctor to help out people in his community. During his free time, he likes to play basketball and other sports with his friends.


Kazi Maisha

Kazi is a graduate of Stuyvesant High School and is currently a biology major at the City College of New York (CCNY) where she is part of an honors fellowship. She hopes to become a doctor for constituents in undeserved communities and a founder of a global non-profit organization that opens a safe and empowering space for abuse victims. When she’s not chasing her dreams, you can find her urban dancing, volunteering as a fitness trainer for senior citizens at Sunnyside Community Services, and playing basketball with her brothers.

Shabab Chowdhury

Shabab is a graduate of Brooklyn Technical High School and is currently pursuing a degree in electrical engineering at the City College of New York (CCNY) where he is part of the Macaulay Honors Program. In the future, he hopes to become an engineer for Google or the MTA to make everyone’s life a little easier. Aside from being a tutor at Synergy Prep, Shabab is a personal trainer whose expertise consists of weight lifting and calisthenics.

Washif Awal

Washif is a graduate of Stuyvesant High School, Class of 2019. Washif scored an incredible 601 out of 700 on his 8th Grade SHSAT and is currently the head SHSAT instructor in the Bronx location. He currently attends the Macaulay Honors College at the Hunter College campus, where he is studying biology in hopes of becoming a doctor. During his free time, Washif enjoys watching anime and hanging out with his friends.

Sunny Nath

Sunny Nath graduated from Stuyvesant High School and he currently attends NYU. Sunny is pursuing a degree in biomolecular science hoping to become a doctor and wants to find the cure to cancer. Sunny received an amazing score of 1500 out of 1600 on the SAT and is the head SAT instructor in the Bronx. As an instructor, he strives to provide a fun environment and tries to connect with each of his students. During his free time, Sunny enjoys cooking and hiking.

Tahrima Chowdhury

Tahrima is a graduate of Stuyvesant High School. She is currently part of the Macaulay Honors program at Hunter College and is pursuing a degree in psychology. In the future, Tahrima hopes to become a neurologist and work in a hospital so she could help treat patients. Tahrima is also the head Common Core instructor and manager in the Bronx. During her free time, she enjoys video editing and watching Netflix.


Dipu Chowdhury

Dipu is a Bronx Science graduate and he is currently attending NYU Tandon where is studying Electrical and Computer Engineering. In the future, he hopes to create the world’s first holographic computer like the ones seen in futuristic movies. During his free time, Dipu enjoys running and watching basketball.


Rafsan Zaman

Rafsan is a graduate of Stuyvesant High School and is currently enrolled in New York University where he is pursuing a degree in math and computer science. During his free time, Rafsan likes to watch boxing, play chess, and code. He is currently a high school instructor and helps prepare students for the Regents examination.

Jarrin is currently enrolled in the City College of New York (CCNY) where she is pursuing a double major in psychology and political science. Jarrin also graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School. In the future, Jarrin hopes to become a professor or psychiatrist. During her free time, Jarrin likes to sketch portraits and paint. She currently works as a Common Core instructor at Synergy Prep.

Afroza is currently enrolled in the Macaulay Honors program at Baruch College and is pursuing a degree in accounting. Afroza also graduated from Manhattan Hunter Science High School. In the future, Afroza hopes to work as an accountant for a big bank on Wall Street. Currently, she works as a Common Core instructor at Synergy Prep. During her free time, Afroza likes to kick box and play board games with her friends.

Nafisa is currently enrolled in Queens College where she is studying to become a graphic designer. Nafisa is also a graduate of Manhattan Center of Science and Mathematics high school. In the future, Nafisa hopes to work as a graphic designer at a well-known company and pursue her love of art and design. Currently, she works as a Common Core instructor at Synergy Prep. During her free time, Nafisa likes to design and code websites.

Prova currently attends St. Johns University where she is pursuing a degree in pharmacy. Prova also graduated from Bronx High School of Science in 2019. In the future, Prova would like to work as a pharmacist at Mount Sinai Hospital. She currently works as an instructor for our Common Core program. During her free time, Prova watches her favorite Netflix series, Stranger Things, and she likes to bake.

Eshani is currently attending Fordham University where she is pursuing a degree in Finance. Eshani graduated from the Bronx High School of Science in 2019. In the future, she hopes to open up and run her own non-profit organization. During her free time, Eshani enjoys performing classical dances and hanging out with her friends.

Masuma is a graduate of Bronx Science High School and is now attending City College of New York (CCNY) where she is pursuing a Bachelors degree in General and Interior Architecture. In the future, she hopes to become an architect while doing the things she’s passionate about. During her free time, she enjoys creating art through many mediums and also likes making music. She currently works as a Common Core instructor at Synergy Prep.
